Crossing Paths
At National Paving Company, our work has always been our reputation. Beyond offering the highest quality solutions to match the unique needs of each customer, we passionately lead the way to better the quality of our communities and the environment.
We came to the aid of the San Bernardino National Forest and the National Forest Association by donating our services to restore the Alpine Pedal Path. The Alpine Pedal Path is a multiuse path that jogs along Big Bear Lake’s north shore and sees thousands of visitors a year. From visiting families to residents like Olympian marathoner Ryan Hall, our efforts enabled access to millions of health enthusiasts and nature lovers to use the renewed path and participate in enhanced educational and fitness programs provided by the National Forest Association’s Discovery Center.
As a two-part effort to improve well-maintained Forest facilities for the public, we also rehabilitated the Meadow’s Edge Picnic area. The Meadow’s Edge rehabilitation project was placed on indefinite hold due to continued budget cuts that the San Bernardino National Forest faced over the years. National Paving Company is proud to help in the completion of these two legacy projects that would have taken years for the San Bernardino National Forest to realize on its own. Learn More
In effort to promote healthier lifestyles and environmental leadership through widespread community participation, National Paving Company formed the Crossing Paths Alliance of six organizations converging common philosophies into a singular vision.
Crossing Paths is a coalition that included the San Bernardino National Forest, the National Forest Association, Lighthouse Project, the Big Bear Resort Association and HBT Events.
On September 6, 2008, the Crossing Paths Alliance hosted a daylong itinerary promoting corporate accountability, healthy and sustainable living, environmental preservation and youth outreach in Big Bear Lake. The day included Big Bear Lake’s first annual marathon and grand re-opening of the Alpine Pedal Path. Speakers included representatives of the San Bernardino National Forest, the National Forest Association, Project Lighthouse and our very own Richard Lindholm, President & CEO. Learn More
