| Big Bear Lake, Ca. (September 6, 2008)-National Paving Company unites the Crossing Paths Alliance, a consorted effort of six organizations converging common philosophies into a singular vision to promote healthier lifestyles and environmental leadership through widespread community participation.
The alliance consists of Lighthouse Project, United States Department of Agriculture, National Paving Company, The San Bernardino National Forest Association, HBT Events and The Big Bear Lake Resort Association.
Through the combined efforts of the coalition, Crossing Paths was a daylong itinerary promoting corporate accountability, healthy and sustainable living, environmental preservation and youth outreach throughout Southern California.
HBT Events in connection with the San Bernardino National Forest Association presented the first annual Big Bear Marathon with a total registration of 1500 participants. The day was rounded out with a half Marathon, a 5k run; a bike tour of the course and a 1k children’s run.
In a display of its continual commitment to the San Bernardino National Forest, National Paving Company donated its resources and efforts to rehabilitate the “Alpine Pedal Path”. On this day, the popular multiuse path on the North Shore of Big Bear Lake was re-opened, leaving behind an inspirational tribute to healthy lifestyles.
